The test is used to determine the behaviour of the packaging when it undergoes shocks / impacts during handling, and more specifically a vertical impact due to a fall.
The test is made on the complete packaging of the actual (or simulated) content. It is performed from a variable height that depends on the goods it must contain and its packing group. For goods belonging to packing group I, the drop will be 180 cm, for packing group II of 120 cm and for packing group III of 80 cm.
